Bank of America Reviews

  • Your CD rates are totally ridiculous...why would anyone put money in one of your CD at that rate..

  • ** Please note: This is an opinion based on personal experience over 7 years ago. I no longer have an account and cannot speak as to their current code of conduct. BOA is centered around the corporate world; NOT personal banking. Basically, it is just another corporation whose decisions are financially-based. For example, they lost a class action suit re: overdraft fees. They re-ordered which transactions were paid based on transaction amount (highest to lowest);; NOT by the date charges occurred. This, in turn, cost the customer hundreds in overdraft fees. The lost the class action suit brought against them. The result? In my case, for the 320+ I paid, I received a check for $16.01. Lessons learned? Pay attention to spending, keep track of balance, and be wary of banking systems whose name has "I" located near the end.

  • Bank of America interest rates are extremely low thus forcing regular customers to go elsewhere for savings.

  • CD rates lower than competitors. Rates do not keep up with inflation and are at a record low. Retirees need secure investment opportunities.
