SoFi is a peer to peer lending network although it operates in a tighter niche market than other peer to peer lenders. It targets students and graduates with its loan products, focusing on student loan refinancing, mortgages, mortgage refinancing and loans. Investors can put money into SoFi loans, although this is only open to institutional investors. The company was established in 2011 and is based in San Francisco, but there are six offices in total across the US.
